I am interested in skewing inherent cultural values, personal narratives, and emotional weight attached to mundane and/or discarded items and objects. I work with simple and sometimes salvaged materials such as cardboard, wood, string, and paper to create approximate and attempted replications of things from the world with earnest and intense care. My sculptures, which oscillate between bitter humor and sloppy celebration, emerge from a strange soup of fractured memories, found imagery, internet garbage, actual garbage, and daily observation.

I am also interested in big pop cultural narratives and iconography. I have utilized the characters of Neil Young, Dan Marino, and Dustin Hoffman as vehicles for a generative and ongoing body of work, resulting in photographs, videos, and performances.

Currently, I am focused on a sculptural video and photography project inspired by the 1988 film "Akira."
